My Favorite Season

There are four seasons in a year: spring, summer, autumn and winter. Different people like different seasons. Let me tell you about my favorite season.

My favorite season is autumn. It usually starts in September and ends in November. The weather is cool and comfortable. The sky is blue and the air is fresh. The leaves on the trees turn yellow, red and orange. They fall down from the trees and cover the ground like a colorful carpet.

In autumn, there are many fruits to eat. Apples, pears, grapes and oranges are all ripe. I love going to the farm with my family to pick apples. The apples are sweet and juicy!

Mid-Autumn Festival is in autumn. On that day, my family gets together and eats mooncakes. We sit in the garden and look at the bright full moon. I feel very happy and warm.

The temperature in autumn is just right — not too hot like summer and not too cold like winter. I can wear a light jacket and play outside with my friends. We fly kites in the park and collect colorful leaves.

Autumn is also the harvest season. Farmers are busy picking crops. The golden rice fields look like a sea of gold. It is a season of joy and thanks.
