Describing daily routines is an essential skill in English learning. It helps you talk about your everyday life and understand others better.

Key Vocabulary

Grammar Focus: Simple Present Tense (一般现在时)

The simple present tense is used to talk about: 1. Habits and routines (习惯和日常活动) 2. Facts and truths (事实和真理) 3. Scheduled events (安排好的事情)

Structure:

Subject Verb Form Example
I / You / We / They base verb I get up at 7 am.

Third Person Singular Rules:

Rule Example
Most verbs: add -s get → gets, play → plays
Verbs ending in s, sh, ch, x, o: add -es go → goes, watch → watches
Verbs ending in consonant + y: change y to ies study → studies, fly → flies
